Redesigning chat forum for critical thinking in a problem-based learning environment

Support is needed to promote problem-based learning (PBL) and to enhance critical thinking skills in discussion-based Internet forums. By advancing the capabilities of chat room and forum software, problem-based discussions for learning can be supported further in online learning environments. In this paper, the authors report on MALESAbrain, an intelligent learning tool. The model is built on the notions of threshold and knowledge weight from the discipline of machine learning. The model encourages learners to judge or critically evaluate the solutions posted by others before exploring further knowledge content. The system then sums up the judgment scores as its knowledge weight to pass the thresholds setup for ranking/arranging the learning issues. This constraint design, therefore, becomes a mechanism for critical thinking in a problem-based learning activity. MALESAbrain as a model helps transform the forum and chat room into rich learning discussion environments.  相似文献

目的:探讨参麦注射液对大鼠急性心肌梗死后心功能的影响。方法:结扎大鼠左冠状动脉前降支(LAD)建立AMI模型,分组:①MI 1周组;②SM 1周组;③MI 2周组;④SM 2周组(MI心梗模型组,SM参麦注射液治疗组)。另设1周、2周假手术(Sham)组。记录心率(HR)及心功能参数:平均动脉压(MAP),左室收缩压(LVSP)、左室舒张末压(LVEDP)、左室内压最大上升速率( dp/dtmax)和下降速率(-dp/dtmax)。结果:在心梗后1周、2周时,模型组LVSP、±dp/dtmax均明显降低,而LVEDP则明显增加(P<0.01);参麦注射液治疗组LVSP、±dp/dtmax显著回升、LVEDP下降,与对应时间点MI组比较均具有显著性差异(P<0.05,0.01)。结论:参麦注射液能显著改善大鼠急性心肌梗死后的心功能。  相似文献

抑癌基因是人类正常细胞中所具有的一类基因，对细胞的增殖分化有调节作用。染色体体臂上某一区域非随机杂合性缺失导致抑癌基因的丧失，从而促使肿瘤发生。本文总结了第17号染色体短臂(17p)杂合性缺失与肿瘤发生关系的研究进展，该研究不仅为我们定位新的抑癌基因提供了基础，为肿瘤的预防、早期发现和诊断提供了依据，同时也使我们能更好理解肿瘤的分子进展。  相似文献

The novel integrated circuit (IC) temperature sensor presented in this paper works similarly as a two-terminal Zener, has breakdown voltage directly proportional to Kelvin temperature at 10 mV/℃, with typical error of less than ±1.0℃ over a temperature range from -50℃ to +125℃. In addition to all the features that conventional IC temperature sensors have, the new device also has very low static power dissipation ( 0.5 mW ) , low output impedance ( less than 1Ω), excellent stability, high reproducibility, and high precision. The sensor's circuit design and layout are discussed in detail. Applications of the sensor include almost any type of temperature sensing over the range of -50℃-+125℃. The low impedance and linear output of the device make interfacing the readout or control circuitry especially easy. Due to the excellent performance and low cost of this sensor, more applications of the sensor over wide temperature range are expected.  相似文献
